Rich and I have just returned
from a trip across the country! We headed out west with the kids to visit McMinnville,
OR for their annual UFO Festival. Wow, what a lot of fun! I finally got
to meet Regan Lee and her wonderful husband,
Jim, in person. They are
both such nice people, and while I knew that Regan is a talented writer
from reading her many blogs, I discovered that Jim is also a very
accomplished artist. We tried to persuade them to put some of his
paintings on a website, so hopefully you'll be able to see them soon as
well.
Tim Hills,
official historian for McMenamins (sponsor of the UFO Festival) was also wonderful, as was
everyone else we met in Oregon. What a breathtakingly beautiful place!
(I'm hoping to get Tim on the show soon to talk about his
involvement as a source for a book on hauntings in Oregon. Watch here for
details!)
Then we flew from Portland
to Los Angeles to spend a few
days with the MUFON groups in
LA and Orange County. I want to
thank everyone who did so much
to make our visit just amazing.
I joked that I wouldn't want to
come home, and it turned out
to be true!

Women in UFOlogy: Lisa Davis

Foundation
for Abduction Research and Support (FFARS)
Lisa Davis has been researching the
UFO/Abduction phenomena for 8 years. Prior to starting her research into
abductions, she worked for the City of San Diego
in the Child Health and Disability Program. In 2003, she formed The
Foundation for Abduction Research and Support (FFARS) in order to
educate, support, and empower individuals unwillingly involved in the
abduction experience. In addition to its work with abductees, FFARS
provides a worldwide platform of objective information for the general
public on the abduction phenomenon.
Lisa has had a
fascination with astronomy since childhood. Her research has covered
many different aspects of philosophy, religion, science, medicine, and
the paranormal. One of Lisa's goals is to bring the UFO/Abduction
scenario into the mainstream public awareness in a professional
and practical manner.
On New Year's Day
2008, Lisa witnessed a UFO in her home town of San Diego, CA. We'll talk
about that as well as her new book, which is due out in the spring.

Unholy Communion
Guest: Joe Jordan
Joe Jordan and Dave Ruffino presented in Roswell
last month on the subject of alien abductions; specifically, the theory
that these abductions can be stopped by calling on the name of Jesus.
This raised some eyebrows and a LOT of questions.
This topic has evoked strong
emotional reactions from all sides, and I think it's time to allow Joe
to restate his case and present the facts again. I have my reservations
about the efficacy of this technique, and I especially worry about the
possibility that this could lead to finger-pointing at those of other
faiths. However, I also believe that if it even works sometimes, we
should look at it and let people know about it as a possibility.

International Journalist on Intergalactic Relations

We'll catch Italian-American journalist and UFO
researcher Paola Leopizzi Harris as she touches down between travels,
for a talk about her recent trips around the world including Canada,
Glastonbury England, and several conferences in the United States
(including a few still to come in the summer and fall of 2008.) She's
got a new book coming out this fall as well, so tune in and hear all
about it!
Paola is well known in many
countries, for her regular column in the Italian magazine Area
51, for her books (Connecting the Dots and Exopolitics:
How Do You Speak to a Ball of Light?), and for her years of public
speaking and teaching. Paola has also been instrumental in bringing many
UFO researchers from other countries to her home in Italy (including the
Dolan family -- thanks, Paola!), promoting a larger sense of
community among researchers, and working to bring awareness of
exopolitics to a wider audience. Though she now lives in Boulder,
Colorado, Paola still travels around the world to continue her

UFOs in the News -- New Monthly Feature

Recently, Peter, Rich and I did an episode of
Through the Keyhole together in which we all chatted about current
events in the field of UFOlogy. We had such a great time, and got so
much positive feedback, that we've decided to do it again once a month.
(I'm still working on coming up with a catchy title.)
All three of us have just
returned from the Roswell UFO Festival, so I'm sure we'll be comparing
notes and sharing our impressions of that event. Rich and I both
presented, and Peter likes to point out that for the first time, he was
actually paid NOT to speak (he was the Master of Ceremonies.)
Some controversial subjects were
raised, such as the role of religious belief in preventing or stopping
an alien abduction, and also the imminence (or not) of full disclosure
by the government of all they've been keeping from us concerning UFOs
over the past sixty years or so. There will most likely be some
very lively discussion this week, so be sure to access the chat
room for this one.

"Truth -- If You Dare" Symposium
Guest: Sam Maranto, MUFON, Illinois State Director
Rich and I just returned from Chicago, where we
attended the second Truth -- If You Dare symposium, sponsored by the
Illinois MUFON group and organized by Sam and Julie Maranto. (Well, I
attended, Rich gave a great presentation on the potential problems of
official UFO disclosure, and touched on the recent crop circle that
expresses the value of pi to ten decimal places.) Don Schmitt gave an
excellent presentation of his work on the Roswell case, and it was a
great conference overall. Sam and Julie both work very hard and have a
lot of great ideas on how to put together an event, and they have lots
more in store for the future. I'll talk with Sam about the recent
symposium, and about their plans for the next one, on August 17 2008.

Humans vs. Aliens at Dulce, NM

Jo Ann's husband, Mark, says he participated in a
battle against aliens at Dulce, NM, who were abducting and breeding
humans and animals for experimentation and for what can only be
described as recreational torture. He is now in prison on a
falsified murder charge, which his wife believes is a ploy by the
government to keep him from telling what he knows about these events. His wife speaks on his behalf and also
runs the organization, Earth Defense Headquarters. We'll hear the whole

UFOs: What Could They Be?

I'll
speak with Greg Bishop about his upcoming presentation for the Roswell
UFO Festival, titled "Alternative
Theories of UFO Origins." He has been studying UFOs and the paranormal
for most of his life, and authored Project Beta: The Story of Paul Bennewitz, National Security, and the Creation of a Modern UFO Myth. It
tells the story of a government campaign of disinformation perpetrated
against an unsuspecting U.S. citizen.
In the second hour, I had hoped
to talk
with John Carpenter about his work with abductees for many years,
including serving as MUFON's Director of Abduction Research from 1991 to
2000, and his current work as editor and board member for the online
Journal of Abduction Research. His Roswell presentation is titled,
"Contact from Another Dimension: Abductions & Other Weirdness."
Unfortunately, we were unable to get him on the line. I plan to invite
him to join us again another time.

UFO Festivals -- Recent Past and the
Not-Too-Distant Future

Alien Hunting and Abduction Research

Derrel Sims is a Certified Master Hypnotherapist,
Certified Hypnotic Anesthetist, Certified Master Neurolinguistic
Practitioner, international speaker, licensed private investigator in

The X-Conference: Inviting the US Government to Tell What It Knows About
UFOs and ETs

April is around the corner, and with tax time comes
another issue relating to the United States government -- UFOs?
The X-Conference aims to prompt the government to disclose what
information it has about UFOs and extraterrestrials who are present on
earth. Allied to this is the subject of Exopolitics, or the question of
how to establish relations (hopefully peaceful) with beings who are not
of this earth.
Once one accepts the reality of UFOs (and admit it, more and more of us
have reached that point), the logical next step is to determine how to
deal with them. To do that, we need all the information we can get, and
there's evidence that our government has plenty that it's not sharing.
Enter Stephen Bassett, political activist and the driving force behind
the X-Conference, held on the doorstep of the nation's capitol in
Gaithersburg MD. Each year Stephen brings together an impressive group
of government insiders who have information and who believe it should be
released to the public. This year's lineup includes astronaut Edgar
Mitchell and former Canadian Minister of Defence Paul Hellyer -- and
that's just for starters! (Oh, and that American guy, Rich Dolan, will

More on the International UFO Congress 2008 Conference and Film Festival

This week I'll be repeating the
"speed-interviewing" format of last week, since it worked so well; four
of the speakers at this year's UFO Congress will give us a taste of
their upcoming presentations. Jim Sparks will talk about his experiences
as detailed in his book, The Keepers. Yvonne Smith will share with us
her new book on her work with PTSD victims and abductees. Peter Robbins
will recount highlights of his more than thirty years in UFO research,

Director for MUFON in Utah, and has published several articles in the
Journal of Abduction Research. She holds a Master's Degree from MIT in
military policy, and in the 1990's she was an organizer for Operation
Right to Know, a group which sponsored public protests against UFO
secrecy. Elaine will talk about her work with abductees over the years,
and what she has learned about the motives of the abductors as well as
what she thinks we can and should do to stop the abductions altogether.

A Talk with A Different Monster Hunter

In this replay of an interview which originally aired live from the
MUFON symposium in Denver in August 2007, I spoke with Bigfoot
researcher Joe Fex about his years studying hominids and other aspects
of the paranormal. We spoke for more than ninety minutes and barely
scratched the surface of Joe's knowledge and experience in paranormal
research. He discusses little-known facts about Bigfoot, the history of
hominid research, and methods for establishing contact yourself (comes
with a caution!)
The last half hour of the show is a replay of my interview with George
Noory, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the 60th anniversary
Roswell UFO Festival. George's work on Coast to Coast AM has been
an inspiration to many of us in radio, and in research of UFOs and
paranormal topics. He has been instrumental in legitimizing our work,
and making it possible to discuss paranormal research in everyday
settings with much less fear of ridicule or reprisal.

Water and UFOs

Fascinated by aviation since
the late days of World War 2, Carl Feindt studied aircraft engineering
at the Academy of Aeronautics (off LaGuardia Airport's runway) in New
York City. After two years with the Air Force, he worked for a major
airline for 34 years. He participated in an eight-year long research
project that involved collecting newspaper reports of UFO activity in
the state of Delaware. Intrigued by his findings of approximately 750
cases spanning a period of less than fifty years in this very limited
geographical area, Carl was further struck by the number of UFOs which
were seen entering or leaving water -- a feat which he knows to be
impossible for conventional aircraft. He now runs
WaterUFO.net, a website which collects and organizes information on
water-related UFO cases.

The X-Conference and the Future of Exopolitics

What is exopolitics? If you
believe in UFOs, and you believe that extraterrestrial life forms have

conference, which also includes pushing for government disclosure of

Michael Salla, Ph.D.; Italian journalist Paola Harris; Gildas
Bourdais of France; Jaime Maussan of Mexico; Antonio Huneeus of Chile;
Canadians Alfred Webre and Paul Kimball; and Americans Daniel Sheehan,
Dr. Bruce Maccabee, and Dr. Steven Greer, made this a truly worldwide
appeal to the American government to take this issue seriously and to
end the era of secrecy.

The Order of the Dragon

Colleen Clements is a brilliant scholar who
has been persecuted for her groundbreaking work in ancient culture.
For two decades, Clements taught philosophy at the Rochester
Institute of Technology. In 2006, she published her latest work,
The Order of the Dragon, a bold re-interpretation of the origins
of human civilization. Unfortunately for her, the book angered
conservative Christian elements within her university, and the next
thing she knew, she had been fired.
Arguing that we should take ancient writers
at their word, Clements suggests that early humans were "not alone"
in the creation of our civilization. While the theme reminds one of
Zecharia Sitchin, Clements approaches her topic differently, working
from academic and scientific sources to create possibly the first
true history of the culture that created modern civilization. This
she calls the Dragon Culture, which thrived prior to 35,000 BC in
northern Eurasia. She then traces that culture through the ages,
through Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Balkans, Languedoc, the Freemasons,
and into the present.
Order of the Dragon
is a fascinating study that deserves our attention, as does the
unconscionable treatment of a true scholar by a hidebound academic
establishment.

The Black Vault

Bigfoot and the Paranormal with Joe Fex, plus

MUFON International Symposium in Denver, CO, I talked with researcher
Joe Fex about his years of involvement in the fields of ufology, hominid
research, and parapsychology. Joe Fex also has one of the most
comprehensive collections of photographs of Bigfoot and UFOs in the
country. He talked about ways to begin researching these areas, and
pointed the way for those who are searching out encounters with Bigfoot.
Joe is truly a fascinating speaker, and will definitely need to be on
the show again as we barely scratched the surface.

was a pre-recorded interview with the incomparable George Noory, whom I
was fortunate enough to meet in Roswell for the 60th Anniversary
